Sometimes I suddenly remember how much I love Conor Oberst. It's like you're walking with you're head down and you run into someone and at first it's unpleasant but then you realize that it's an attractive person who writes beautiful songs.

"It colors everything. It's definitely a sickness. When it's there and it's having its way with you it affects the way you look at things. And things that you should be more excited about you're not and you can't help it. It's a huge part of my creative energies. They tend to go down that path which sometimes frustrates me because I hate to feel like I'm bringing people down or the bearer of bad news but at the same time I try not to plan out my songs too much. They sort of just happen in my head and if they stick around long enough I know I should just write them down."

Q: If you ever decide to retire from music and you could do any other profession, what would it be?
Conor Oberst: Maybe like a zookeeper or something like that. I really like animals. It'd be fun to swim with dolphins, train a lion, stuff like that.

I'd like someone who I feel comfortable with and can talk to easily. There are no certain characteristics other than a good sense of humor.

I think that I have nice eyes.

I think that true love is a selfish act of bias in a single person's favor against the rest of the world. At the same time, I think it's about being able to make selfless sacrifices for that person.

how people tend to want simple or black-and-white answers to complicated questions.

so you know how between bands at shows they play music in between? well just before Green Day came on stage on saturday, they started playing Bohemian Rhapsody through the speakers and this happened.

hands down the best crowd experience I have ever had and it's still giving me goosebumps whenever I watch this video :'))))))))) I'm so happy people filmed it!
